Project: Why I Capture Wildlife - Documentary Short
Role: Music Composer & Sound Designer

Director and Filmmaker Deej Phillips explores the natural worlds living under our noses. This short film, featuring wildlife photographer Jamal Kabir, looks at the creatures and habitats within our cities, with the hope of inspiring others to enjoy and protect their vibrant and colourful environment.

The original music for the film intends to reflect our complex relationship with nature, especially within our most densely populated cities. The aim was to inspire a new generation of wildlife enthusiasts with an uplifting and contemporary sound. The combination of digital and synthesised elements is interwoven with live acoustic instruments further representing how nature can thrive within the green sanctuaries pictured on screen.
